Overview of the types of torsion springs and their applications

Torsion springs are used to generate a radial force or controlled angular rotation in mechanical applications. These springs are usually mounted around a shaft, and sufficient clearance between the inner diameter of the torsion spring and the shaft is required for them to function correctly.

Torsion springs are available in left-hand and right-hand versions and can be manufactured either as standard or fully customised. All versions are manufactured in accordance with DIN 2088 / EN 13906-3, with tolerances in accordance with DIN 2194, and are available in various materials depending on the application.
